terminator 2
If you have ever seen the movie Terminator 2, Judgement Day,
you won't have forgotten the T1000
the liquid metal terminator.
you won't have forgotten the T1000
the liquid metal terminator.
The T1000 was a very effective terminator, every time it was injured it would heal itself. When it's head was sliced down the middle, it just joined itself back together again,
seemingly impossible to destroy.
But if you remember it didn't like the cold liquid nitrogen.

When it became frozen solid all it took was one bullet, and it shattered into more than 50,000 pieces, spread out all across the floor.
However, there was a furnace burning nearby giving off extreme heat, and it didn't take long before the T1000 began to thaw.

The longer the droplets were exposed to the heat, the more they returned to their original form. As each droplet came close to another they fused together doubling in size. The warmer they got the faster the process became.
Until all the pure liquid droplets were back together again and the T1000 stood to it's feet.

I imagine those droplets had a singular focus – their mission – and they knew beyond all doubt that it was more important than anything else. They understood that their goal could only be accomplished together.
The contaminated floor beneath them couldn't influence their determination, and they wouldn't let petty differences get in
the way. It's almost comical to think of them refusing
to unite because of minor imperfections.
For these droplets, completing their mission
was the only thing that mattered.
They knew who they were and what they were meant to do.
Perhaps they also knew they had an audience watching,
and this was no trivial matter – far from it.
