We know that small doctrinal differences do not change the essential truth, neither does a label or the songs we sing.
We know that what unites us in the spirit, is far greater than what attempts to divide us in the natural, but we cannot ignore that we have an enemy who will try to deceive us, by sowing seeds of disunity into the Church. He will do everything he can to stop us flowing in the power that is available to us corporately, remembering (as I'm sure he does) what happened at Pentecost.
We can be certain that our enemy does not want a repeat of that day, he cannot afford to let our nation as numerous as it is today, rise in Christ's unity and power like that.
The consequences for his armies of darkness in this world would be disastrous, this is the chink in his armour,
his Achilles heel.

That is why he is doing everything he can to discourage us, but more than anything he's hiding his biggest weakness from us, which is his vulnerability to our unity in Christ.

We are one in the Spirit of Christ,
so our enemy cannot rely on the lack of our spiritual unity,
(there is no such thing)
but instead on our believing his subtle yet fragile lies,
that we lack spiritual unity.
That then overflows in a way that
we relate to each other in practical ways,
and that distorts our ability to be a real blessing to one another, and 'hey presto', we are a much weaker army.
so our enemy cannot rely on the lack of our spiritual unity,
(there is no such thing)

the correct understanding of scripture, then obviously
(knowing just how important our unity is to us)
we will be the Christians best equipped to dispel any apparent damaging disunity between ourselves,
and those other churches around us.
So we can confidently serve all our brothers and sisters from other denominations without any fear of contamination,
or anything else.
What possible legitimate reason could we have not to?

Division is a noun, a symptom, it is a cloak that hides something far more sinister, it is not the coinsidental and innocent symptom it pretends to be.
Is it possible that we are missing demons disguised as harmless symptoms moving unchallenged throughout our ranks with one purpose, to weaken the army of God without being seen for they really are?
If we imagine a spirit like that, masquerading behind all of the
"good doctrinal reasons for division"
then I believe right there we will see our enemy,
the father of deception, from a whole new perspective.
What we're being shown is smoke and mirrors,
and we will never overcome it,
whilst trying to tackle the symptoms of it.
But we can overcome it easily if we
know what we are looking at.
